Welcome!
Welcome to the website for the ex-RNLI lifeboat, Swn Y Mor, chronicling her time with the Scott family and their world travels. This site is currently a work-in-progress, so check back frequently. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Any updates made to the website will be posted here on the homepage, with the date of the update listed.
Swn Y Mor has been sold and is now off for more adventures with a new custodian. This website will now be a record of the adventures the Scott family had in this historic vessel.
Updates:
- September 2019: A lot has happened in the life of the Scotts recently, mainly that Swn Y Mor has been sold, and a new generation has joined us! (These two events are coincidental and do not correlate with each other!) This means that I have hardly any time to update this website at the moment - but one day once my daughter decides to sleep, I may get the chance! There is a new vessel in the family, an Arthur Robb-designed Bermudan yawl named Casquet - look out for her in Tarbert if you're about.
- January 25th 2016: So, it's only been five and half years! I now have an intention to get on with completing this website on hopefully a semi-regular basis. Right, now the working pages are The Scotts, The Gallery, the Log, and Specifications (although this is very sparse at the moment).
Swn Y Mor is now based in Tarbert, Loch Fyne, Kintyre. Pop along if you're in the area.
- November 11th 2010: Website is finally going somewhere. There is a photo album uploaded and soon all the links will be working!
- September 22nd 2009: Unfortunately due to weather Swn Y Mor was unable to attend Holyhead this year. She is now back in her winter berth at Glasson Dock. I am in the process of moving house, so the updates to the website have been delayed.
- July 29th 2009: Appearance notifications have been put up. Sorry, I've been rushed off my feet these past months. I will endeavour to actually have something working by the end of the summer!
- February 27th 2009: Website design finished. Links working (although no destinations as yet!).
- February 25th 2009: Website design finalised (probably!). And no, the links at the top and bottom don't work yet!
- February 20th 2009: Website design almost finalised.
